How we handle your data.
We collect what we need to read your application, ship a piece, and verify a code. Nothing more.

1. Controller
silverman*baer GmbH (controller in the sense of Art. 4 GDPR). Contact: info@silvermanbaer.mc.
2. What we collect
- Application data: name, email, public profile handles, free-text recommendations and notes. Stored when you apply. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
- Order data: name, shipping address, billing address, payment metadata (we do not store card numbers; the payment processor does). Legal basis: contract performance.
- Code-lookup public listing: if you consent at the time of receiving a piece, your first name and a photograph you provide appear on the public code lookup when the code is queried. Legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Withdrawable at any time; see § 6.
- Server logs: IP address, user-agent, request path, for security and rate limiting. Retained for 30 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3. Recipients
We use Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery. We use a print-on-demand partner for production and shipping. Data processing agreements are in place. No data is transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. International transfers
Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA (Cloudflare US locations; print partner US/EU sites), standard contractual clauses apply.
5. Retention
Application records: as long as the application is open, plus 36 months for audit. Order records: 10 years (Austrian tax retention). Code records: as long as the code is in circulation. Server logs: 30 days.
6. Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR) — particularly relevant for the code-lookup public listing. Right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority. Contact: info@silvermanbaer.mc.
